What we do

Our venues are set up first and foremost, for the communities around it. We host a number of regular classes, activities and events throughout the calendar year such as the Annual Christmas Service and Market, Seatoun Arts and Crafts Exhibition and Sale weekend, and our ever popular Mega Garage Sale.

Alongside these, we offer venue hire for events, weddings, and other special occasions.
Currently we do not offer the venue for 16th - 21st Birthday parties.

Our vision is to make Seatoun Village Hall and St Christopher's the place of choice for the community

Pānui Te Motu Kairangi - Peninsula Community Newsletter

With the absence of any free local newspaper three Community Centres on the Miramar Peninsula (Strathmore Park, Miramar and Maupuia, and Seatoun) are  collaborating on Pānui Te Motu Kairangi, a community newsletter that is delivered to 5000 households across the Peninsula, bi monthly. It is also available online.

The aim of the newsletter is to foster connectedness, communicate community information plus stories of people and place. This newsletter is for the community by the community. Ma tini, ma mano, ka rapa te whai, many hands make light work, unity is strength.

We have a defibrillator that is available 24/7.  It is on the external wall on the veranda. In the case of an emergency, dial 111 and they will give you the code.

Seatoun School is our Community Emergency Hub

This Hub is a place for the community to coordinate your efforts to help each other during and after a disaster.
